WE ARE ALL ALIKE
(Words and Music by Hap Palmer)
©Hap-Pal Music, Inc.

Like each flake of snow, floating through the sky
We are all unique, we are all alike
Take a look around, you will see its true
You're a lot like me, I'm a lot like you.

Everybody has eyes, they come in different shapes
Some are brown, some are blue, some are gray or green
Everybody has skin, it comes in many shades
It may be dark, it may be light, or somewhere in between

Everybody lives, everybody breathes
Everybody needs, everybody dreams, everyone is born,
and changes through the years
We can laugh and cry, and share our hopes and fears.

We all have a body, any size will do
It may be thick, it may be thin, it could be short or tall
We all have a heart, let it beat with pride
A common bond goes on and on, we're people one and all!

Like each flake of snow, floating through the sky
We are all unique, we are all alike.
Take a look around, you will see it's true
You're a lot like me, I'm a lot like you.

NUMBERS CAN TELL ABOUT YOU
(Words and Music by Hap Palmer)
©Hap-Pal Music, Inc.

Numbers can tell about size and speed
Time and temperature too
They can tell us how many, how far, how high
And numbers can tell about you.

What time do you rise in the morning?
What time do you go to bed?
How many people are in your family?
How many pets do you have if any?
May we ask how old you are?
How old would you like to be?
What time do you get home from school each day?
Do you remember your phone number?
Oh, numbers can tell about you.

How many books have you read this year?
How many hobbies do you have?
Do you have a favorite number?
If you could travel back in time, how far would you go?
Numbers can tell about size and speed

(repeat chorus)

(Words and Music by Hap Palmer)
©Hap-Pal Music, Inc.

We're on our way,
On our way
Life's a journey to be sure
And we're on our way.

Making friends and playing games together
Reading books and drawing pictures too
Taking trips, exploring different places
Each day we discover something new.

(repeat chorus)
And we use the magic of imagination
Build enchanted castles in the sky
We make believe we're tigers in the jungle
Or astronauts above the stars so high.

We on our way, on our way
Reaching out tot he big wide world
We're on our way, on our way
Growing more and more each day
We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
Life's a journey to be sure
And we're on our way!

THE SHAPES THAT SURROUND YOU
(Words and Music by Hap Palmer)
©Hap-Pal Music, Inc.

Triangle, triangle where can you be?
What do we look for and what to we see?
I'm a sail on a boat or a hanger on your coat
I have three angles and three straight lines

Circle, circle where can you be?
What do we look for and what do we see?
I'm a wheel on a skate, a clock or a plate
I curve around in endless lines.

Square, square, where can you be?
What do we look for and what do we see?
I'm a check on a dress or a board to play chess
With four right angles and four equal sides.

Oval, oval where can you be?
What do we look for and what do we see?
I'm the path of the moon or the head of a spoon
An elliptical shape, with the curve of an egg.

Rectangle, rectangle where can you be?
What do we look for and what do we see?
I'm a dollar, a door, or a basketball floor
With four right angles and four straight side

Triangle, circle and square
Oval and rectangle too
As you go through the day pause on the way
And see all the shapes that surround you.

Betty Beep could not sleep
Her mother said "try counting sheep"
The lights went out, she lay back down
Then she heard her puppy's barking sound,Woof woof

She counted barks instead of sheep
The noises never let her sleep
There were 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 barks
She flopped back down and tosses around
The heard her cat's meeowing sound, mee-ow, mee-ow

She counted mee-ows instead of sheep
The noises never let her sleep
There were 1,2,3,4,5 mee-ows
She flopped back down, tossed around
To baby sisters crying sound, waah, waah

She counted cries instead of sheep
The noises never let her sleep
There were 1,2,3, cries
She flopped back down, tossed around
Then heard a trucker's honking sound beep, beep

She counted beeps instead of sheep
The noises never let her sleep
There were 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, beeps
She flopped back down, tossed around

Next came grandpa's snoring sound, snore, snore
She counted snores instead of sheep
The noises never let her sleep
There were 1,2,3,4,5,6 snores, and Betty screamed,
"7 plus 5, plus 3, plus 8, plus 6!"

I've heard 29 noises now,
I need sleep but I don't know how
Daddy said, "here's just he thing"
And he began to sing, 29 bunnies go bouncing along
29 bunnies bounce, if one of those bunnies should snuggle in bed
29 bunnies go bouncing along.
